Plan details & claimsExisting Ingle policies stay valid until they expire. The job now is to replace yours on time, without a gap.
Ingle International insured visitors and new arrivals to Canada for decades, but it has stopped issuing new Super Visa and Visitors to Canada policies and is only servicing the policies already in force. If your parent bought an Ingle policy, nothing is wrong with it today. It just cannot be renewed, so the replacement needs planning.
Ingle no longer sells Super Visa or visitor insurance. Policies already issued remain valid until their expiry date, and claims on them are still handled under the policy. To keep your parent covered, buy a policy from another insurer before the Ingle one ends, starting the day after expiry. Any condition treated during the Ingle policy counts as pre-existing for the new insurer, so check the new plan's stability rule first.
It's on the policy confirmation. Save the emergency number printed there; it is still the one to call for claims.
Write down every new diagnosis, medicine or dose change since the Ingle policy started, with dates. The new insurer will ask.
Two to four weeks before expiry is ideal. Choose a plan whose stability rule your parent's conditions meet.
Start date = the day after the Ingle expiry. Keep both policies' documents together.
Enter the Ingle expiry date to see the new start date and when to buy.
A planning aid. The new insurer's questions and policy wording decide coverage.

Visitors to Canada and Super Visa plans
Buy online Plan details & claimsNo. Ingle is no longer issuing new Super Visa or Visitors to Canada policies. Existing policies stay in force until they expire.
To insure a new visitor, or to continue cover after an Ingle policy ends, you need a plan from another insurer. Use the quote form to compare them.
Yes, until its expiry date, under the terms of the policy you bought. Keep the policy documents and the emergency number handy.
Nothing needs to change today. What matters is having the replacement in place before the expiry date, with no gap.
Use the emergency assistance number and claim instructions printed on the policy or confirmation. Call before going to hospital whenever possible.
Keep original receipts, the hospital discharge summary and the passport page showing entry to Canada. If you cannot find the documents, Pankaj can help you track down the right contact.
Not with Ingle, since it no longer issues new coverage. The replacement must come from another insurer.
Buy it before the Ingle policy ends, with a start date of the day after expiry. A gap leaves your parent uninsured and can mean a new waiting period for sickness.
Only if the condition meets the new insurer's stability rule. The new policy looks at your parent's health on its own start date.
Anything diagnosed or treated during the Ingle policy is a pre-existing condition for the new one. Stability periods range from 90 to 365 days depending on insurer and age; TuGo offers a 7-day option for ages 79 and under. See parents over 70 for the table.
For a new Super Visa application, IRCC asks for at least $100,000 of coverage from a Canadian insurer, valid for one year from the date of entry.
If your parent is already in Canada and staying on, keep continuous coverage for the rest of the stay. Pankaj can match the new policy's amount and deductible to what the Ingle policy had.
Many insurers apply a waiting period for sickness when a policy is bought after the visitor has arrived in Canada, often 48 hours to 8 days.
Some waive it when there is no gap in coverage and you show the expiring policy. Ask about this when you compare, and keep the Ingle policy as proof of continuous coverage.
Status reflects what Pankaj has been told as a broker as of October 2026. Your Ingle policy wording governs any claim on it. Not immigration or legal advice.
