The right Visitors to Canada or Super Visa insurer depends on the visitor more than the company. Start with age: some insurers stop at 80 or 85, others have no maximum. Then health: stability periods for pre-existing conditions run from 90 to 365 days, and several insurers stop pre-existing cover after 80 or 85. Check the waiting period if the visitor has already arrived (48 hours to 8 days), side trips if they'll visit the US, and monthly payments if you'd rather not pay a year upfront. Once a few insurers fit, compare live prices: the same visitor can see very different premiums.
Set the visitor's age and what you need. Insurers that don't fit are faded; "Check" means the detail varies or isn't published in our summary.

Summarized from each insurer's policy wording or plan summary and our insurer guides, reviewed October 2026. The policy wording governs; rules change, so confirm before you buy.
Four visitors, four different shortlists.
Almost every insurer fits. A plan without pre-existing cover is cheapest; compare price and the deductible.
Needs a plan covering stable conditions with a 180-day period at 72, such as Destination: Canada, Secure Travel Plan 2, 2 Visit Canada or Manulife Enhanced.
The list narrows sharply: Destination, MSH and Travelance don't cover pre-existing conditions at 84, while TuGo and AwayCare still offer it with their longest stability periods (365 days for AwayCare at 75+).
Expect a sickness waiting period of 5 to 8 days with most insurers. TuGo keeps it at 48 hours if bought within 60 days of arrival.
Buy online opens the insurer's own secure site; Plan details opens our full review with eligibility, claims and refunds. For 21st Century, TravCare and AwayCare, call or WhatsApp Pankaj.

Plan details & claimsPolicies are issued by each insurer. Availability depends on age, health and plan.
There is no single best company. The best one is the plan that accepts the visitor at their age, covers their stable conditions, and costs least for $100,000 of coverage for 365 days.
For a healthy 60-year-old, the lowest price often wins. For an 80-year-old with heart medicine, only a few insurers will cover that condition at all. Compare live quotes to see which ones accept your visitor.
Most of the 14 insurers on this page offer a plan or option for stable pre-existing conditions, with stability periods from 90 to 365 days depending on age.
At older ages the choice narrows: Destination: Canada stops pre-existing cover at 80, MSH at 81 and Secure Travel at 85, while TuGo and AwayCare continue it at older ages with longer stability periods, up to 365 days.
Among the insurers on this page, Secure Travel (RIMI), 2 Visit Canada, 21st Century, Destination: Canada, JF, MSH Discover Canada, Travelance and TruStone Health publish monthly payment options, usually with a setup fee or deposit.
For a Super Visa, IRCC accepts a policy paid in instalments with a deposit.
Yes, for 11 of the 14 insurers: the Buy online buttons on this page open each insurer's own secure site. For 21st Century, TravCare and AwayCare, contact Pankaj to buy.
The price is the same whether you buy online here, through Pankaj or directly from the insurer.
Each insurer prices age bands, coverage, deductibles and pre-existing cover differently, and some don't accept certain ages or conditions at all.
That's why comparing several companies at once usually finds a better price or better cover than asking one insurer.
Call the insurer's assistance number on the policy before treatment, then send the claim form and itemized receipts to the claims administrator named in the policy.
Each insurer guide on this site lists its claims steps and time limits. Pankaj also helps his clients with claims.
Yes. A new policy with another insurer is a new application, so new medical questions, stability periods and waiting periods may apply.
If the visitor's health has changed, staying with the current insurer through an extension can sometimes be safer. Ask Pankaj before switching.
Send Pankaj the visitor's age, medicines and arrival date on WhatsApp. He'll tell you which insurers fit before you apply.
General information. Insurer rules are summarized from published documents reviewed in October 2026 and can change; the policy wording governs coverage, limitations and exclusions. The filter is a planning aid, not underwriting: medical questions on the application decide eligibility.
